Cordy One says:

There is just no evidence that any of this will help, and some of it looks like it might make things worse. A few random people post that it is a miracle and then never bother to answer any questions after.

Dharmaku says:

Thanks to Dr K's practical guidance, I have found some further techniques and manipulations to the hiatal hernia.

For example, if lying on one's back it is impossible to manipulate the affected hernia area one's self.

So standing, bend at the knees as well as being slightly hunched forward, one can effectively use the technique instructed by Dr K to dig in with one's fingers to the area and then pull downwards. A t-shirt should be worn so as not to chafe the abdominal skin.

Also I discovered that by using a four to five inch vitamin plastic bottle container with a rounded bottom, one can stand before a door or wall and lean in pressing the rounded plastic bottom into the affected area, and with one's own natural body weight while pressing against the rounded plastic container, slide downwards the rounded edge of the plastic bottle contactor effectively pulling it downward over the area. Again a shirt should be worn so as not to cause chafing to the area.

I've been additionally relieved and much improved from these two additional techniques.

Wishing everyone improvement!

Deborah Donald says:

I’m having palpitations and heart rhythm issues and seems to all point to the hernia. Doc said it’s small but didn’t give me measurements. All tests on my heart seem to be good. Is this something that you can advise on?

Dharmaku says:

Thank you for these useful exercises and tips. I look forward to trying them….

Just tried my first sets of all the exercises and felt relief and strengthening.

Thank you Dr K. What a blessing!

Himanshu Gupta says:

Hey!
I have this weak lower esophageal sphincter and not hiatus hernia. But I love working out and someone told me if I work out now after weak LES, I might be more vulnerable to hiatal hernia. Is it true?

Jimmy-James Olivier-McCutcheon says:

Nert says:

Doris W says:

Doris W says:

Candy Kane says:

Juan Lopez says:

Has anyone do this exercises get real relief of there symptoms?

Gordon Grunau says:

To do ALL of these daily, how much time should this take? How long would someone need to do these?

jen davis says:

I am not finding any answers from doctors or the internet about flying with a hiatal hernia. One article that gets copied and pasted just says flying depends on size and location of hernia. I am not even comfortable with the idea of getting that test to see where it is at. Sticking a tube in my nose & gut for a day sounds like it could go really bad. Can I find out how big it is and location without that evasive procedure? And have you heard of any serious incidents with flying? Exercises and gas pills help but crushing pains do return. I am avoiding new foods all the time, so it may even get better. Bouts are rare but it is serious and feels like a heart attack. Does that sound like I should not fly with this >? Not even the idea of being stuck in air flight with pain, but what if it ruptures, or something bad?

melissa jamison says:

Wow! Thank you! I believe I have been suffering with a hiatal hernia ever since my last baby was born 32 years ago. Unfortunately I have been misdiagnosed over and over and lived on PPIs off and on for 3 decades. My last endoscope finally found the hernia. Unfortunately my GI gave me double protonix daily as I was already on one a day. But this only aggravated and made it worse. I got off the protonix and actually got better! Then months later, one week ago, I had a bad hernia 'flair up'. But, now knowing it is a hiatal hernia, I chose to seek better education, knowledge and underatandingnof hiatal hernia and how to properly treat it without medication or surgery or spending loads of money on Drs who never explained a single thing to me about hiatal hernia, how to treat it without medication(only covers some symptoms), and how to avoid a flare-up! Now, I know! Thank you!!

Becki Wildeman says:

I have been doing the massage for the 3rd day this is the 1st day I heard gurgling come from it and it did feel better after that. I'm praying I do not have the acid reflux come up within the night or just before getting up tomorrow morning. I see my Chiropractor on Wednesday and hoping he is able to get the throactic back into place this time and I will be having Acupuncture done this time.

Derek Holmes says:

I was put on Lansoprazole 30 mg per day, (first thing) 20+ years ago buy my GP ( UK NHS) because I was diagnosed with a hiatus Hernia, I’m now 64 years old 6ft and over weight I 😢 I have a cough that will not go away, also a choking / gagging reflex due to blocked sinuses, What would you recommend I do ?

micheleverdi2 says:
