Dogrescuer 1 says:

Great video, I'm not overweight but I do have a disability that causes a lot of funny looks. I will never work out other than home, many thanks to Mr mark.

Julie Watkins says:

I couldn’t understand the words you are saying. You need to speak elementary.

The Toronto Girl says:

Doing the same set of exercises at 290lbs compared to doing them at 259lbs feels so different. My body feels different with just a 31lbs weight drop. The fat isn't so much in the way and I'm able to do the same exercises with greater ease and properly now.

Obese people need modified exercises, not get shamed for what we can't do as gym rats. This vid is perfect for that. I couldn't do a push up at 290 but at 259…I can do about 20 now.

thechaptermaster says:

Not even trying to be funny, here. I've never really exercised before and now, after quitting smoking and marrying a chef, I find myself about 60 lbs overweight. I just turned 53 and I'm at a state where I need to lose this extra mass. I've led a sedentary lifestyle for about 12-15 of the last 20 years. From stay-at-home dad years, to cubicle IT jobs, I just haven't been very mobile.

Anyway, when I do these exercises, roughly how long should I do them before I increase the difficulty? A week? Two? I know it's different for everyone, but a ballpark idea so I know what to work with. You mention doing 5 sets of 3 reps at first, then 6, 7, etc. Would it have the same results if I did 3 sets of 5 reps, instead?

Fat kid on mic says:

Question has anyone one actually lost weight just by doing these 3 exercises and if so how much

John T. says:

So is this daily or weekly? Twice a week? Very important basic info this guy didn’t mention

TheCampi says:

So i watched the videos in this playlist and i think i understand volume cycles, but i cant find the information on how many days exactly you should do this, in other videos outside of this playlist there is talk about light/heavy days, alternating days, i looked through nearly all the comments and found something about 2-3 days a week, but dont i have to alternate ? Iam really confused.

Can i do this programm 4-5 days a week, and do all the exercises ? Because i read somewhere that you need to rest the muscles for 48 hours if you want them to heal and grow?!

Cordara Baker says:

I love the way he explains things without talking down to overweight people.

Nicole Denniss says:

Hearing you explain it like that it makes sense. Im a yr old woman who has been heavy my entire life, to the point im on a walking frame, and dont have the strength or stamina to stand upright anymore, couples with arthritic back hips and joints, this way or exercising sounds like something that even someone like me a give a go

Izzyswonderland says:

I’m a 32 year old female. What weight would you recommend to start with please? I’m very much a beginner

Joe Clyde says:

Excellent video

DeeWorldwide says:

I really like how you talk about weight and numbers in an unemotional and practical way. A lot of times people, especially who are not overweight, tend to have a sympathetic pitiful tone. I find it off-putting. Be well.

marvara4 says:

Thank you for finally addressing that I physically can't move like a thinner person YET. I'm going to start using these today!

Gary Ormond says:

Very interesting video. Thanks. I've been overweight for years (currently 231 lbs) & always start with good intentions but get discouraged. I've often wondered if I try to do too much. How could I gauge that better?

Hong Kong says:

You are Best to do some push aways. From the dinner plate.

Jamin Preli says:

How much rest between sets do you recommend?

Hidden Woodsben says:

fat old man here: i loved it!
you really put some thought in there.
one thing though: i'm not "excessively large", "plus size" or even just "overweight". i'm fat.
i feel taken seriously the most when folks tell it how it is, and i know many other fat guys do so too.

lylky says:

I hope you can make a series about this topic , it's really needed and appreciated

Redbull57 says:

People in general need more videos like this, great job!

Carbage Man says:

Okay, when I read "overweight," I was thinking, like 30% body fat. So I'm thinking I want to do something else, as I have already transitioned from obese (5'6" 280lb) to overweight (185lb, so surely lost over 100 pounds of fat), and now (IMO) the hard work starts. I presume there would be a different ideal set of exercises to get fro 30% to 20% body fat, which is my aim. I walk every day. My core strength is moderate, but not perfect. I've been doing Dr Benbo's single set to failure with bands, and that has been fruitful to get me to this point, but now I'm looking to trim.
