Fitness model and MuscleTech sponsored athlete Abel Albonetti doesn’t waste any time on chest day. With all the different positions and angles he hits on his presses and flyes, he can’t afford to!

This high-volume workout is perfect for advanced lifters, but if you’re not quite there yet Abel recommends simply dropping down to three sets for each exercise, instead of five. Even at a lower volume, it’ll still give your chest a very loud message to grow.

“This workout is not going to be easy,” he warns. “You’re going to be pushing yourself to failure every single set.”

| Incline Dumbbell Press |
Lighten up the weight for these presses because your reps increase to 12-15. Get your first 4 sets in, then make the fifth set your double dropset. Here’s how: Do as many reps as you can with the weight you’ve been using. Once you hit failure, drop the weight about 25 percent, go to failure, then drop it another 25 percent and go to failure.

You’re now 25 percent through the workout, but it probably feels like you’re finished.

Hit this workout today after a little set back with some reoccurring shoulder issues and it felt great by the time the flat bench came in my chest was exhausted and had to drop a lot of weight to finish it out. The burn out at the end is definitely a killer!

I have 7 fused thoracic vertebrae and suffered spinal cord damage back in 05 when I broke my back. So I know exactly how you feel about one side being stronger then the other. I struggle with the same thing from time to time and even catch myself making sure I grabbed the same weights. I have a weird injury going on right now but its only present with light weights when warming up. I hit 245lbs sets of 6 reps on the Incline BB Press and my left arm doesn't hurt. If I drop down to 145lbs the pain in my entire left arm is almost unbearable. It was actually healing up, took a week off from the gym because I caught a cold. Came back and it was worse then before. Its weird because I cant actually pin point the injury. Even went to a DR and he was stumped, poked and prodded the entire left side of my body with focus on my arm even got an xray to make sure it wasn't bone damage and couldn't pin point what the injury actually is. The human body is a strange thing.
