Powerlifter Mark Bell shows you how to properly set up bands for squatting out of a rack. He’s training with the Rogue SB-1.

Don’t let the four points of contact fool you, a Rogue Safety Squat Bar doesn’t mean squatting will be any easier. The weight distribution is unique to this bar. Training with the Rogue Safety Squat bar is known to tax your anterior chain; the weight distribution falls between the front squat and the high-bar back squat to vary your power output training. This bar is a safer option for intense squat progressions or maximum load lifts. This bar is known to increase your maximum working weight when compared to the traditional back squat.

WhiteWolf77 says:

My rogue bands I bought online a few months ago are starting to fray. I just cut off the extra where it’s peeling, but eventually it’ll peel some more. Not sure if it’s the brand or if I just got defective item?

Michael Crosby says:

what are the bands he used?

offended and unsubscribed says:

Nah dog go westside with doubled bands

Evan Palmer says:

Theres another way thats almost easier and you dont have to worry about uneven choking. Set up 2 pins as he had them in the video 3-4 holes apart, then slide the end of the band around the farthest peg from the bar, run the band underneath the closest peg to the bar and take that end right up around the bar. Gives you nice even tension and reduces wear on the band from choking.

Curt Brownlee says:

Thanks Mark, simple yet efficient.
